10 Ways To Use Cooking Spray

Few years ago I was using cooking spray only for one reason: cooking without the fat.

Cooking Spray Uses

My pantry was always stocked with original cooking spray, butter cooking spray and even cooking spray with flour for baking.

My very frugal friend told me of couple other ways to use cooking spray and save money. When someone says: SAVE MONEY”. I usually listen.

After that I did little research to see if I can use cooking spray in more ways and save more money.

10 Ways To Use Cooking Spray

10 tested and true ways to use cooking spray other then for cooking:

#1 Spray dog’s or cat’s dish before feeding – the cooking spray layer makes the dish easy to clean and gives your pet extra oil to keep their coat shiny and healthy.

#2 Spray lawn-mower blades before mowing the lawn – the oil from cooking spray will keep the grass from sticking to your blades and make them easy to clean.

#3 Clean soap scum – spray cooking spray on your shower door and walls. Give it about 5 minutes and wash it off with soapy water and dry it. The oil in cooking spray will dissolve the soap buildup and lime deposits.

#4 Spray skewers when grilling – next time when you are making kebabs spray the skewers with cooking spray so the meat slides right off instead of landing off your plate.

#5 Speed-dry nail polish – if you are in a hurry and can’t wait for your nail polish to dry forever little light spritz from cooking spray will do the trick.

10 Ways To Use Cooking Spray

#6 Grate cheese and veggies easily – you need to put some muscle into grating hard cheese and veggies. After you are done cleaning the grater is a pain. Next time just spray your grater with little bit of cooking spray and not only the grating will be easier, but the cleaning will be a snap.

#7 Fix squeaky bicycle chain – your kid’s bike has been sitting all winter long in a storage and spring is here and time to ride the bike. The chain is making awful screeching noises. Just lightly spray the chain, wipe off any excess and junior is ready to go.

#8 Always clean putty knife – my husbands used to spend lots of money on buying new putty knife for every project. Now I just spray his putty knife with cooking spray and after he’s done cleaning it never been easier.

#9 Keep mailbox door from freezing – outdoor community mailboxes have the tendency to freeze in a winter. To prevent your mailbox door from freezing shut in winter spray little cooking spray inside rim of your mailbox door and spray some cooking spray into the padlock to keep frost from forming.

Misconceptions are funny things. When we think of Christmas, most of us have visions of white snow-covered hills, hot cocoa by a roaring fire, and warm sweaters. Texas, on the other hand, conjures pictures of tumbleweeds and cactus. Seldom do these visualizations meet. But you may be surprised to find out that Texas is rich in diverse natural features and can offer a vacation for almost any occasion. A Christmas vacation in Texas may surprise and delight you.

Texas Christmas Traditions

Texas can offer its own brand of the holiday season that includes cedar Christmas trees instead of pine, red peppers nestled among the lights and decorations, and the sound of cowbells in place of the traditional sleigh bells. Grapevine, known as the Christmas Capital of Texas, puts on a town-wide holiday spectacular that showcases the best Texas traditions.

Quaint and Homey

One of central Texas’ best-kept secrets is the town of Salado. Between Austin and Waco, this picturesque village features restaurants, bed-and-breakfasts, a winery, and unique antique shops, art galleries and local craft stores. The town’s Christmas events include a Christmas stroll on the first weekend of December where you’ll encounter carolers, extended-hour shopping and other holiday events.
Don’t miss Burnett’s Christmas Tree Farm while you are in the area. In addition to trees, they sell garlands and handcrafted items, and offer hayrides and hot drinks.

Now for Something a Little Different

For a taste of true Texas with a holiday spin, don’t miss Rudolf the Red-Nosed Pumping Unit in Lufkin, Texas. This red oil pumping unit is decorated with lights, antlers, and yes, a red nose each year at a ceremony that’s held the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The unusual Christmas decoration is on display at the Lufkin Mall through the holiday season.

M&M Pretzel Chocolate Candy Review

Have you tried the new M&M’s Pretzel Chocolate Candies yet?

Well, if you haven’t you are missing out on some delicious and crunchy goodness.

Last week I was fortunate enough to receive few packages of new M&M’s Pretzel Chocolate Candies to share with my family and write a review.

When the package arrived my children were so excited. They couldn’t wait to dig in and give me their honest opinion.

After couple bites my 8 year old son proclaimed the M&M’s Pretzel Chocolate Candies as TASTY LITTLE MIRACLES.

According to my 13 year old teenager the new candies are EPIC and AWESOME.

My mother was skeptical at first. After eating her second candy she was hooked. She really enjoyed the sweet and salty ratio. The pretzel was crunchy and not at all overpowering. The saltiness of the pretzel made the milk chocolate less sweet and therefore making it possible to eat more.

My best friend who loves chocolate covered pretzel enjoyed the new M&M’s Pretzel Chocolate Candies, but she wasn’t fan of the candy coating.

My husband who is also a big fan of chocolate covered pretzels enjoyed the complete package. According to him it was yummy, delicious and crunchy.

So as you can tell the M&M’s Pretzel Chocolate Candies were a big hit at my household.

You can get your very own package of this delicious new candies in every grocery store and supermarket across Canada.

The official launch was August 30th, 2010.

Don’t forget to pick one up!
